Gemma studied classical voice at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and Musical Theatre at WAAPA. She’s worked extensively in film, television and theatre as an actor and dialect coach. Favourite castings have included playing a drunken snob in Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular and the bossy know-it-all Lysistrata in Germaine Greer’s adaptation of the Aristophanes classic. (Because being typecast is such fun!) Off stage and behind the camera she is an award-winning filmmaker and occasional playwright.
